Sprinkling Christmas cheer, Marisa Laas (45), owner of The Cake Emporium, a delightful decorative cake business in Brackenfell, Cape Town, is staging hilarious ‘Elf on the Shelf’ antics, to entertain her grandchildren.
Awe-stuck by ‘Stout Elf’ and the many crimes and misdemeanours he’s orchestrated in their home this festive season, Clea (5) and Elijah (1) are tickled with anticipation, wondering what on earth he’ll do next!
Marisa and her husband, Riaan (52), who some might recognize from winning Via TV’s ‘Kom Ons Braai’ in 2017, admit they possibly enjoy the havoc ‘Stout Elf’ stirs up more than their grandkids do.
“Christmas is my favourite time of the year, and this year I was excited to finally get the opportunity to have Stout Elf in my home. My grandbabies are always amused by his antics, their reactions bring us so much joy”. – Marisa
