As we prepare for the 21 day national lockdown, the Gift of the Givers have been working tirelessly to fight the spread of the Coronavirus epidemic.
Through the launch of a campaign on donations based crowdfunding platform, BackaBuddy, the Gift of the Givers have raised a total of R 242 447.23, with contributions from 218 donors, to provide medical practitioners across the country with much needed support.
Between the EMS district, The National Institute for Communicable Diseases, Johannesburg General Hospital, Alexandra clinic and Mullah Laboratories this is what has been distributed thus far.
- 1750 Gloves
- 1000 FFP/2 Masks
- 400 Surgical Masks
- 300 Masks
- 216 Hand Sanisterizer
- 200 FFP Masks
- 108 Surgical Gowns
- and 6 boxes of Nescafe coffee, to keep them going!
